How We Work: Corgi Rewards

Here at Obviously, we love corgis.  They are adorable, fuzzy, friendly, and make really good rewards for influencers.  Well... not exactly.  No judgement, but I do get a good laugh every time some good-hearted soul asks for details on how we are going to send them a new dog.  So incredibly sorry to disappoint you.

Those of you familiar with Obviously know that corgis are our company mascot and also the name of our reward system.  Influencers earn corgis by completing projects on time and within the project specifications.  Corgis can be traded in for cash and other perks.  Influencers who earn twenty or more corgis will be rewarded with marketing dollars to use on their personal Instagram.

So how does it work?

When you join a campaign, you will be given a deadline and basic post guidelines, which usually include a required hashtag.  From here, earning your first corgi is easy- all you have to do is post on time and correctly!  Even if you end up needing an extension, you can usually still earn a corgi as long as you let your account manager know ahead of time.

Most projects require only one post, but of course we love influencers who go above and beyond.  For this reason, if you post a second time for a project, you will earn another corgi.  This way, you can earn up to two corgis on a project, even if there is only one post required.

What do I get out of it?

After you earn your first three corgis, which takes at least two projects, we automatically deposit $20 in your PayPal account.  You're welcome!  Beyond that, rewards include gift cards, invitations to exclusive Obviously events, and those coveted marketing dollars.

A few misconceptions

You don't need corgis in order to get projects.  I get this question a lot, so I want to ease your mind about that one.  Projects invitations are not limited to people with a certain amount of corgis, and influencers with lots of corgis do not receive invitations first.  Sometimes, we will reach out to an influencer who has already worked with a particular brand in order to foster a more ongoing relationship, but that is based on their past performance with that brand, not on the number of corgis they have.

Also, we don't usually give multiple corgis for a single post, unless there is a special circumstance, like if we ask you to include a brand's link in your bio.

We truly appreciate the hard work influencers put in to collaborating with brands.  Corgis are just one of the many ways we say thank you for everything you do. As always, feel free to reach out with questions about corgi rewards, or any and all things studio! (
