Our Top 5 Insta-Worthy Spots in NYC

Obviously may be a worldwide company with offices on three continents, but we have a  real soft spot for home.  We were founded in NYC, and we're not shy about our love of the Big Apple (or our love of Instagram.) Fortunately, NYC is a treasure trove of photo-ops, a never-ending playground for camera-happy tourists, locals, and influencers (Obviously.

From under-the-radar local hangs to iconic landmarks, here are our top five Insta-worthy spots in NYC.

Number 5: 1803NYC

One of the best things about NYC is that you really can find everything here.  Personally, I love New Orleans and Creole food, but I don't have to miss it when I'm here.  1803NYC is a colorful Tribeca spot where you can get your gumbo fix while listening to live Jazz.  But the best part... it's so freakin' cute.  This place is simply gorgeous, with brightly colored wallpaper, airy furniture, and tall, draped, windows, there's no stopping yourself from taking out that phone and snapping a pic.  (And the food is great too.)

Number 4: La Esquina

This little taco stand holds secrets.  Underneath the exterior of a classic NYC bodega and taqueria is an underground bar and brasserie.  (Shhh, you didn't hear it from us.) La Esquina is an incredible spot to take some killer photos (and show how in-the-know you are). I don't want to ruin the surprise any more, so I'll just leave you with this enticing exterior shot.  Like so much of NYC, if you're not paying attention, you just might miss it.  One more secret: this place is right around the corner from Obviously HQ.  So go find the bar then come find us. :-)

Number 3: The Flatiron Building

When this building was completed in 1902, it dominated the NYC skyline at a whopping 20 stories high. (LOL.) While the height may no longer be impressive, the Flatiron Building's quirky shape still amuses, beguiles, and makes a great background.  Find me a more NYC image than a lox bagel in front of the Flatiron building.  I dare you.

Number 2: The Oculus

Clean, sweeping lines arching to the sky.  White floors with floods of natural light.  This is a cathedral of modern architecture, and if you're rocking a minimalist feed, it's a must-have NYC photograph.  There's something about this space the brings a sense of peace in what is really one of the busiest transport hubs in a city filled with busy transport hubs.  And it's so quiet. Can't you just see how quiet it is?

The Brooklyn Bridge

Iconic.  Flawless.  The quintessence of New York. (Scratch what we said about the Flatiron Building.) Call us basic if you want, but you really can't beat the classics.  A great Brooklyn Bridge shot is an absolute necessity whether you're here for an 8 hour layover or you've lived here your whole life. I just have one question for @motiankari.  How are you the only person in this pic???
