Team Obviously Q&A: Meet Howard!
Our team rocks! Our pride and joy lies in the awesome people that work on Team Obviously and the sheer amount of talent they bring to the table.
I'm Aaron. I was the newest member of Team Obviously...but you'll meet our newest member, Lara, very soon. In order to get know my Obviously fam, I've embarked on a quest to chat up every member of Team Obviously.
Today I sat down with the chillest member of Team Obviously, Howard. Strategic Account Manager, mister calm, cool and collected and the go-to member for sage advice and bespoke sneaker tips.

Aaron: What’s your role at Obviously? Assigned role and informal one? (ya know like queen of snacks, etc.)
Howard: I’m the Strategic Account Manager at Obviously. I work with brands to best utilize Influencers for their social media campaigns and work with Influencers on getting more on-brand opportunities. The team also calls me their resident sneaker sage.
Aaron: What’s your favorite Instagram feature?
Howard: My favorite Instagram feature is the Discover page. I’ve found a lot of great content, people, and sneakers on there. It really helps me see what’s going on in the Instagram world, outside of the people I follow.
Aaron: In your pre-Obviously life, what’d you do and what lead you here? I heard you double as a multi billion dollar shoegramster.
Howard: Prior to Obviously I founded and operated a marketing company that specialized in content creation and marketing strategy. Over 5 years, we worked with brands large and small and through this journey, I was introduced to Influencers. I managed Influencers, helped them with brand development and connected them with brands for marketing campaigns. And yes, I'ma a multi billion dollar shoegramster.
Aaron: What type of influencers do you follow? Top three accounts please.
Howard: I follow a variety of Influencers - from sneakerheads to executives. My top 3 accounts are @badassboz - the Chief Brand Officer for Uber. She’s living her best life and taking charge. @InTheBoogieDown because it’s always great to see artistic filter on my borough. @Hypebeast so I can see what’s going on in the streetwear world for wardrobe inspiration.
Aaron: Tell me something about Obviously that others may be surprised to hear?
Howard: We have offices in San Francisco and Paris. Most Influencers deal with our New York office, however, we are represented internationally!
Aaron: I hear you’re a hypebeast. What’s hands down the 5 hottest kicks we’ll see in 2018?
Howard: Definitely not a Hypebeast, I’m a street fashion ICON. My style is the offspring of Freddie Mercury and Donatella Versace - pretty straightforward with pops of color. But since we’re talking about sneakers, I’ll tell you what I’m looking forward to. Collaborations are the present and the future. So some of these collabs are in the works and some may be collaborations of my dreams - I’ll let you decipher.

Howard: We love what we do. We all enjoy our jobs and work hard to push the company forward.
