Miami City Guide Series
Our community of more than 50,000 preferred influencers stretches across the world and includes all of you - some of the coolest, most adventurous tastemakers out there. We’ve launched this series to capture that sense of adventure. Every month we’ll interview an Obviously influencer about how to explore their home city like an influential local, covering all the top spots and favorite things to do.
Next up is Miami, just in time for those attending Art Basel this week. Our guide will be influencer Corinth Suarez, who moved to Miami this year after falling in love with the city while visiting.

Hometown: Maryland
In Miami for: 5 months.

@corinthsuarez’S GUIDE TO MIAMI
WHERE TO STAY..
I’m going be biased and say Brickell because that’s where we live. Brickell is a nice place to stay if you want more of the city scene and the beach is 15 minutes away. Brickell also has a free train system so you can get around the city without driving or having to get an Uber. But if you know you’ll be by the beach every single day, then your best bet is Miami Beach. It really depends on what you want!
SHOP
Brickell City Centre will have to be my top because shopping here (or just being in it) will make you feel like a million bucks. The architecture is a must-see.
Lincoln Road is a long strip of shops and restaurants, the perfect shopping spot for tourists.
Midtown area is a great shopping place for moms like me because there’s a Target, Marshalls, Ross, and HomeGoods all in one place!
EAT
Taco Stand. Order their California Burrito and thank me later. This is located in Wynwood which is also a famous tourist spot.
Latin Cafe is the one restaurant that hasn’t let us down. We love their croquetas and everything else too!
D Bakers is the spot if you have a sweet tooth like me. They have the best desserts!
BEST PLACE TO PEOPLE WATCH IN MIAMI…
South Beach for sure. You just feel the warm air in your face, smell the salt water in the air, and watch all the tourists get their beach fix. Really makes me appreciate living in Miami more because I get to call that my reality.
MIAMI IN SIX…
Hours: Go to the beach definitely! Even just an hour or two by the water is more than enough time to feel refreshed. Then enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner with a margarita before heading back to the airport.
Days: Go visit the Keys, aka Key West! If you really want to immerse yourself in vacation mode without the hustle and bustle of the city, or the crowds in South Beach, going to the Keys is a dream.
What makes Miami a great place for parenting influencers?
Best of both worlds. I don’t think people really see Miami as a place for families because of the party scene, but living here has proved otherwise. Miami is a great place for families because you get the best of both worlds with the city and the beach. We’re literally in the heart of the city, but the beach is still only a 15 minute drive away. I’m honestly living the dream because there’s so much to see and do that I can enjoy life here with my daughter and husband.
Instagrammable. Miami is a great place for parenting influencers (specifically) because every corner is gorgeous and content-worthy! Need I say more?
Community. There are so many opportunities, both with brands and other content creators, and plenty of chances to network at all the frequent events! I’m looking forward to building my community.
