Google’s #teampixel featured at Sundance
For the first weekend of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, Google’s #teampixel traveled to Park City, Utah, to catch some films, hit the slopes, and take breathtaking photos on their Pixel 2 smartphones.
Who is #teampixel exactly? After the first Pixel smartphone launched in 2016, Google selected a small yet mighty group of 29 Obviously influencers to be part of an exclusive group that would have access to fun activations, launch events, and a suite of Google products. These influencers include professional photographers, artists, athletes, beauty gurus, and designers all who challenge the status quo.
Building a network of influencers that brands continuously work with throughout the year and beyond is beneficial for both brands and influencers. While brands grow authentic relationships with their network and foster a dedicated group of loyal product users, influencers get access to meaningful opportunities and experiences. At Sundance, Google’s YouTube House off Main Street showcased a wall full of #teampixel photography, highlighting how truly incredible the new phone is. By the end of the week, over 570 Instagram posts/stories were live.
Below, we’ll show you a few of what #teampixel shot in Utah.
